[Eril-l] Access to electronic resources for non-credit continuing education students?

Hi all,
This question just came up for our campus this week so this discussion is
very timely. We also have a lifelong learning institute located on our
campus but students do not receive campus IDs.

The legal and financial issues are of interest to us. How would adding
these groups factor into our existing license agreements, and annual
subscription fees? Would they be considered part of our FTE numbers that
vendors use for pricing? Many of these groups offer non-credit bearing
classes and are not full time. How do others account for these groups in
your license agreements, if at all?

As a small campus of only 2000 FTE, we are hesitant to allow for this but
our institutional NY Times subscription is a major draw for these groups.

Thanks,
Nancy
