Hi All,

Our apologies for any difficulties anyone has experienced with remote proxy access to SAGE Journals.  Atypon, our platform host, put in place in security measures to stop a malicious attack we experienced on SAGE Journals last Friday, which inadvertently blocked access for proxy users.  We have been working with Atypon to unblock all known proxy identities for our customers and the majority of proxies should be up and running.  If anyone is experiencing any continued remote proxy access issues on SAGE Journals, please contact us at onlinesupport at sagepub.co.uk<mailto:onlinesupport at sagepub.co.uk> with your proxy IPs.

We are working with Atypon to put measures in place to avoid inadvertently blocking proxy access in the future.

Yes, Kathleen, proxy IP addresses resolved it.
I guess SAGE is correcting issues as they get access error reports?

I had this issue last week,  and after contacting whatever email addresses I had, they asked for our ezproxy IP, and now it's fixed.  Apparently it was a known issue,  that they did not announce.

Hi Greg,

What URL are you pointing users to when you get this error? I just tested our access using https://journals.sagepub.com using our proxy and did not have any issues accessing. Is there a different URL you are using?

Hello,

We’re unable to access SAGE Premier Journals from off-campus.
After a check of our proxy configuration, I checked with SAGE support and there is an outage.
I was told to check in 2-3 hours. A professor here said that she has been unable to access SAGE since 1/8/2022.

Here’s the error message:

Our virtual machines are our backup, but has anyone else gotten reports about SAGE journals access?
