I second Diane's comment! We switched from WAM to EZProxy, and it has been a dream not to have to restart WAM or clear cache & cookies multiple times a day!

We always had that problem with WAM proxy. It's much less severe with EZProxy. We have OCLC-hosted EZProxy, and in general it's worked a lot better than WAM.

Hi. We use ebooks, primarily EBSCO and Proquest, and primarily with III WAM as our proxy. I've known for some time that it might be technically better not to use the proxy, but to only use the EBSCO personal login, but we have continued to use the proxy because we don't want to have multiple authentication methods - we want to keep things as simple as possible for our users.
Have you noticed an increased frequency of the need for clearing cookies and cache to correct ebook problems? We definitely have, but theat coud just because we are having more use of our ebooks, and more ebooks with restrictive numbers of copies.
And I think this is primarily with EBSCO, but I'm not sure?
Have you experienced the need to clear cookies and cache even when you aren't using a proxy?
Have you experienced a problem with other vendors too?
Does anyone have any observations or insight into this problem?
