We had to do the same for our III WAM proxy settings. As a note, we never got to the point of investigating embedding -- we weren't seeing the video player from within individual film records.

Be well,
Ben

Not sure if it applies in this case, since it doesn't seem like authentication is the problem, but we had to remove our stanza referencing Kaltura from our EZProxy config to get the FoD videos to play properly after the platform migration. (Also, if anyone has a workable off-campus authentication for Kaltura, let me know!)

Thank you to all who responded. I did find the IP problem and fixed it. But now instead of an authentication error, the video hangs at the loading screen. If I open the javascript console, I see that there is an unspecified error with the Kaltura video player used by FOD..

That’s exactly what happened to us. Suddenly embedded videos weren’t working and it was because our IP addresses got messed up somehow when they migrated to the new platform.

Hi Josh,

We were having problems with access to Films on Demand in general and when I contacted the support team, they discovered that our IP range had been messed up with the move to their new platform.

I think it is worth a try to just double check your IP range(s) with them.

We've been having longstanding problems embedding Films on Demand content. The FOD website offers several types of embed codes. But the embedded videos do not authenticate correctly via IP address, whether through EZproxy or with a direct URL (from on campus). Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any workaround? We have a lot of profs getting frustrated.
