Yes, we are getting the 'Application Level Exception' here too. When users go back as instructed on the site they try the search again but get the same error. I have no information about what browser anyone is using, and like you I can't replicate it. I have reported it to EBSCO but have had no reply as yet.

Subject: [Eril-l] Intermittent EBSCO Errors
Hello collective wisdom,
Our on-campus users are experiencing intermittent EBSCO errors. The two common ones seem to be "Application Level Exception" and the ring of EBSCO icons after running a search. These have been occurring seemingly randomly over the past week or so, and I have been unable to duplicate them on my machine. Anecdotally, they seem to be occurring most often in Firefox on both Windows and Mac machines (it has been difficult to get users to report these incidents), and affecting multiple EBSCO resources.
Is anyone else seeing odd behaviour from EBSCO?
