Hi,

We use hosted EZProxy.

The EZProxy link to the Factiva database works, but proxied links to
individual articles just resolve to the Factiva login Screen rather than to
the article. Does anyone else have this issue and were you able to get it
to work? (this is with both the old and new interface)

I asked EZ Proxy if there was a way to fix it so that they work and this is
the reply I got:

" Good Morning,
When part of a path for accessing materials is not getting processed,
the most likely cause is a restricted character being used in the target
URL and it causing processing errors. I would try encoding the target URL
and telling EZproxy this is encoded by changing ?url= to ?qurl=. This will
normally resolve any issues with restricted characters. EZproxy has a URL
encoding function built in as well. https://cnu.idm.oclc.org/encodeurl"

I don't see how I can tell faculty and students that if they want to share
an article url you have to do all of this - there must be a better way? I'm
sure they used to work when there was only the old interface or someone
would have mentioned it before.

Just thought I'd check and see if anyone had any ideas!

Thanks,
Susan
