We select the titles in our knowledge base (EBSCOadmin), which makes them discoverable in our discovery search and in our publication finder. We also catalog them (Sierra), so they are discoverable in a catalog search as well. The catalog records contain a link to the ebook; and ebook is available as an item type, so patrons can limit their search to ebooks. Here is an example<https://umhblib.umhb.edu/search/?searchtype=i&searcharg=9781003250647> of an ebook in our catalog.

Subject: [Eril-l] How do you manage your owned (perpetual rights) eBooks
EXTERNAL Exercise Caution
Hello
As more libraries purchase perpetual rights to eBooks, I am curious to know how you manage that ownership. Is it enough for you to have the titles selected in your knowledge base (OCLC Collection Manager, EBSCO Full Text Finder, etc.)? Or do you track the ownership some other way?
Also, if your library utilizes a traditional OPAC for your catalog (where generally only your owned physical resources are searchable) are your patrons able to discover your eBooks on that platform? Or do they have to utilize another platform, such as a discovery service or patron-facing side of a knowledge base, to find out which eBooks you own?
As we continue to add more eBooks to our collection, it would be helpful to me and I am sure others, to know how you are managing these "owned" resources.
Thank you!
