Project MUSE Joins the OpenAthens Federation

Project MUSE is pleased to announce that it has joined the OpenAthens Federation, a secure cloud-based service that provides a fast and reliable connection to digital content to libraries and their patrons around the world.

OpenAthens provides federated single authentication to library resources from any country or sector and will help extend the reach of Project MUSE content to more library customers globally. Also, with this new federated addition, Project MUSE and OpenAthens library customers will now benefit from a more seamless user experience when accessing content.

Along with the many benefits that come with this new OpenAthens adoption, libraries can take advantage of using single authentication, which will reduce time on setup for access to publisher resources and will also provide secure access to services.
