The NISO Open Discovery Initiative (ODI)<https://www.niso.org/standards-committees/odi/> aims to define standards and/or best practices for the web-scale library discovery services that are based on indexed search.

As discovery services increasingly explore ways to include generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) into their products, the NISO ODI Standing Committee<https://www.niso.org/standards-committees/odi/> is interested in your expectations and concerns about Generative AI in web-scale library discovery.

This survey will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete. Your responses will help ODI understand how discovery providers, content providers, and libraries are thinking about generative artificial intelligence and lay out possible areas for ODI's work in the year(s) to come. We will summarize results after the conclusion of the survey via the ODI website<https://www.niso.org/standards-committees/odi/>.

Please answer from your own, personal, perspective. Note that this survey is best taken on a laptop or desktop computer, and not a mobile device. The survey will remain open until October 31, 2024.

If you have any questions about this survey, please contact us at odi at niso.org.
