Under the general direction of the Unit Head, Electronic Resources &
Serials, the Senior Electronic Resources Specialist plays a lead role in
managing and maintaining the integrity of the library’s licensed and open
access electronic collection of over 2 million databases, e-books and
e-journals acquired by the library to support teaching, learning and
research at Georgetown University.

They work independently and as part of a team to manage the continuity of
access and discoverability of the library’s electronic resources,
collaborate on impactful projects, solve problems, and provide guidance and
training to colleagues. In addition, they ensure continuous access and
authentication to electronic resources; review data to monitor access and
metadata changes; enhance resources; reconcile collection holdings with
supplier and consortia partners; and communicate directly with library
suppliers, faculty, and students to resolve complex technical issues
impeding researcher access to resources.
