The University of Nevada, Reno seeks an experienced, collaborative professional for the position of Director, Collections & Discovery. This is a full-time, tenure track faculty position. Appointment may be at the level of Assistant Professor or above depending on experience, record of scholarship, service and achievement. Reporting to the Dean of Libraries, the Director is an academic faculty member of the Libraries' management team and plays a leadership role in helping the Libraries meet the challenges of changing modes of scholarly communication. The Director is responsible for the planning, implementation, and promotion of a wide range of departmental initiatives and will help shape future directions for the Libraries and department. The department includes the following units: Electronic Resources & Acquisitions; Metadata & Cataloging; and Discovery Services.

.0The successful candidate will have demonstrated management success and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse backgrounds, opinions, and orientations. The Libraries emphasize excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; a strong service orientation; collaboration and teamwork; the ability to adapt to change; and the desire to actively engage in campus and community outreach activities to promote the Libraries and build partnerships with diverse stakeholder groups.
