Core webinar: Rapidly Implementing a Contactless Service

Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2020

All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11 am Pacific, noon
Mountain, 1 pm Central, and 2 pm Eastern time.

Description: This webinar gives attendees tools and techniques for planning
and implementing a contactless hold pickup service model, based on how
Loyola University Chicago planned and implemented its contactless pickup
service this summer with very limited time. It will give examples of other
types of related services that other libraries have implemented. Even when
contactless pickup may no longer be necessary, these are techniques that
libraries can apply to create similar services and adapt to new realities.

Learning outcomes:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

   -

identify the systems and processes to consider in designing and
   implementing a contactless service model.
   -

better assess and respond to potential problems while implementing a
   contactless service model
   -

integrate relevant techniques in designing services at their own
   institutions.

Who should attend?

Any library staff who are or will be potentially involved in the planning
and implementation of a contactless service model or other new service
model, particularly within academic environments.

Presenters:
