A family member who is in the econometrics field also suggested the following resources:
penn world table: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penn_World_Table
maybe stata resources: https://www.stata.com/links/examples-and-datasets/
and this list: https://libguides.gwu.edu/economicsdatabases
Hope this is helpful.

We don't have a librarian expert here, but our libguide includes sources suggested by some of our Economics faculty.? So maybe there are some sites listed here that can help?

We also have a relatively new Econometrics major, so if you can summarize suggestions for the listserve, that would be of interest.

?Have you looked at Demographics Now (Gale) that we have available in Michigan as part of MeL? I'm not sure if it meets all the needs, but may be able to cover some.

Subject: [Eril-l] Econometrics sites/databases with downloadable datasets ?
Hi all,
I?m working with an econometrics professor who is looking for ?sites/databases with simple user interfaces to download finance data, cross-country macroeconomic series, US geographic areas with info on income, pollution, etc., and other datasets you might know of that have a good mix of categorical and quantitative variables.?
?
She adds, ?The American Community Survey is nice, but it have very few quantitative variables. The [Mintel] marketing dataset that one of my students used last fall was good, except that the data could not be analyzed other than by created cross-tabs.?
?
This is outside my area of expertise. Does anyone have any suggestions?
?
Much appreciated!
?

Librarian (University of California, Berkeley)

Come work with us at the University of California, Berkeley, where the UC
Berkeley Library is a leader and partner in creating and implementing ideas
and services that advance research, teaching, and learning.
Apply here: https://aprecruit.berkeley.edu/JPF02543
Description:
The University of California, Berkeley Library seeks a dynamic,
collaborative, and user-oriented colleague as the Systems and Discovery
Services Librarian who will be responsible for the development, support,
maintenance, and migration of the library?s integrated library system
(ILS), discovery services, and catalog. The Systems and Discovery Services
Librarian works collaboratively with a wide range of libraries and units to
support the functionality of the library?s integrated catalog and the
discovery layer. The position works as part of a department that provides
services to all UC Berkeley Libraries. This enterprise-wide department is a
key component of the UC Berkeley Library?s integrated information
technology ecosystem.
The UC Berkeley Library is an internationally renowned research and
teaching facility at one of the nation's premier public universities. A
highly diverse and intellectually rich environment, Berkeley serves a
campus community of 30,000 undergraduate students, over 11,000 graduate
students, and 1,500 faculty. With a collection of more than 12 million
volumes and a collections budget of over $18 million, the Library offers
access to scholarly resources in all formats and robust services to connect
users with those resources and build their related research skills.
This position reports to the Head of the Library IT department and manages
a staff of four ILS and metadata specialists. Library IT (LIT), a
department within the Library, supports the Library?s mission by providing
technical support for the Library including developing, purchasing, and/or
supporting all types of hardware platforms and software applications. Areas
of current work include an enterprise integrated library system along with
the discovery platform and affiliated workflows; scalable digital library
system architectures; web services infrastructure; application development;
and servers and systems support.
Responsibilities:
This position coordinates and leads the administration and migration of the
library services platform and collaborates across departments and libraries
that handle cataloging, metadata, circulation, collection management, user
services, and discovery. The position also provides coordination around the
hardware, software, and associated peripherals and processes related to the
ILS, so that faculty, students and staff have access to the full range of
system functionality including an online public access catalog (OPAC), and
library staff have appropriate access to the discovery layer, analytics,
circulation, acquisitions, cataloging, collections, and electronic
resources management modules and workflows as needed.
The position will also lead and coordinate a team planning and
transitioning to ExLibris?s Alma/Primo platform from Innovative Interfaces'
Millennium. This project, which is the implementation of a Systemwide
Integrated Library System (SILS), is a major effort for all of the 10
University of California campuses and the California Digital Library. It
will involve a coordinated effort from all libraries and
departments/divisions within the UC Berkeley Library. The project will
involve massive data migration, complex system configuration, revamping of
many library workflows and automated processes, and a comprehensive
communications and training program for Library staff.
To be an effective colleague and a manager, this position will be a fair,
progressive leader to Library staff; lead library-wide discussions; aid in
creating and communicating Library policies; manage personnel matters;
contribute to department-wide and library-wide priority setting and project
management; encourage ongoing staff development; and foster an environment
of collaboration, creative thinking, and continuous improvement.
UC Berkeley librarians are expected to participate in library-wide planning
and governance, and work effectively in a shared decision-making
environment. Advancement in the Librarian series is based in part on
professional contributions beyond the primary assignment; the successful
candidate will show evidence or promise of such contributions to the
Library, campus, UC System, and profession
