[Eril-l] ScienceDirect Journals - "500 Status Code Error" through OpenAthens

We don't use OpenAthens, but -- we had numerous error messages this week when trying to access ScienceDirect.  It turned out that Elsevier had changed an authentication URL, so we added that information to our WAM forward table and all seems to be well now.

Thank you for pointing this out.  I don’t have any solutions for you, but I can confirm that we are experiencing the same problem.  We are also on OpenAthens.  Based on your email, I checked a couple of our ScienceDirect links and got the same error message that you are seeing.  Correcting these types of problems is outside my area of responsibility, but I have passed your email on to colleagues who do deal with these types of problems.  Thanks for alerting us to the problem.

Has anyone experienced a "500 Status Code Error" through OpenAthens URLs?  We noticed at the end of last month that accessing ScienceDirect journals through OpenAthens links received the following error message.

EBSCO, who manages our OpenAthens, has submitted a ticket to Elsevier.  Elsevier, on the other hand, says that they don't manage a Redirector and it's not something they can fix.
