[Eril-l] Project Muse PDFs

Thanks, all! This feedback was very helpful.

Project Muse support made some changes that made the "download" link appear for us on both the results and item pages, next to the links to "View" and "Save."

We're still not seeing the PDF button on the right edge of the screen-perhaps that is a result of the ad blocking issue that Nikki and Athena experienced-but we're happy with the links that are now appearing.

Thanks again!

Ah, yes. I do see the PDF button when I use a browser with no ad blocker. Thanks for spotting the root of the issue, Nikki!

Do you have an ad blocker installed? I can see the PDF button on any of the pages where it should be available, but it looks like exactly the sort of scripted element that ad blockers target. It's visible for me with uBlock installed, but when our campus was using AdBlock Plus with some very aggressive 3rd party filters installed, it blocked a lot of page elements that we actually needed. Turning off ad blockers is one of the first things I suggest if a patron reports odd behavior in an e-resource.

We also do not see the PDF link. I poked around and found that if I go to the article page and add /summary at the end of the url, I see a page that does show the link to HTML and PDF, if available.

We cannot see the PDF link for Project Muse (https://muse.jhu.edu/<https://nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmuse.jhu.edu%2F&data=02%7C01%7Cathena%40ucf.edu%7C96974b747fb547356dce08d7219dfed6%7Cbb932f15ef3842ba91fcf3c59d5dd1f1%7C0%7C0%7C637014834775720629&sdata=pmDy4hoeivZqgCR%2BZFol4ADZn0hnZPV5BkPtaTv1I%2Fg%3D&reserved=0>) articles to which we have access. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

There is supposed to be a grey PDF button displayed on the lower right edge of the screen, but we don't see it in any browsers we've tried (Chrome, Firefox, Edge).

Thanks for any insight you can provide!
