[Eril-l] ACS and pay-per-view - would you be interested?

So the big consortia systems get amazing deals such that the impact on any
one library is minimal. Those of us without opportunities to be part of
these systems have little bargaining power, especially since the same body
that accredits our program sells us the content required for accreditation.
How far is this really from a protection racket? But ACS members won't
change it. In theory they could, right? It's a membership organization?
There are more benefits to members than libraries see, apparently.
