Yes, the Summon documentation says it works with other OpenURL providers, however, whenever I report a linking problem to my implementation team they cite 'metadata mapping mismatch" as the probable cause. I don't know?

Hello Tina
I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, see:
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Summon/Product_Documentation/Configuring_The_Summon_Service/OpenURL_Linking_in_the_Summon_Service/Summon%3A_OpenURL_Link_Resolvers
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Summon/Product_Documentation/Summon%3A_Considerations_when_using_other_link_resolvers
The main issue is whether the EBSCO holdings map to those on 360 Core.
Kind regards,

Subject: [Eril-l] Summon and EBSCO Link Resolver?
Hello all,
For reasons I can't go into in great detail, we are an EBSCO house (use EBSCO Usage Consolidation, EBSCO Link Resolver, EBSCO Holdings Management) implementing the Summon Discovery Service. I was initially told that we could use our EBSCO link resolver with Summon however we are now in the testing phase, and the link out is not working (takes us to the "didn't find it page" to request it via ILL or search the catalog. My question is, is there anyone out there that has used EBSCO's link resolver with Summon? If so, can you tell me how you set it up? Maybe it's crazy and not possible. It's not that I don't want to use the 360 link, it's just that it seems like it would be a big project to enable it to work outside the Summon environment. Perhaps I am wrong, but if at all possible we would prefer to stick with the link resolver we have set up now. I am fast approaching our beta test and would like to know my options as soon as possible. Any suggestions are welcome!
Thanks,
Tina
