Will,

Have you tested using the HTTPS protocol for ScienceDirect instead of HTTP? Check also that your OpenURL linkers/parsers are cofnigured correctly.

Kind regards,

Subject: [Eril-l] Off-campus linking issue with ScienceDirect content

Hi,

>From off-campus, links from Duke University Libraries’ website to content in ScienceDirect go to the SciceneDirect homepage instead of the full text content. For instance, when I click the get it at Duke button for the ebook "Encyclopedia of Animal Behavior" at http://search.library.duke.edu/search?id=DUKE005733814 from outside of the Duke network I link to the ScienceDirect homepage (http://www.sciencedirect.com/). Our link resolver is Serials Solutions.

This problem has existed for the past 6 months. In that time, both Ex Libris and Elsevier Tech Support teams have investigated this issue. However, no one has been able to find a resolution. Duke is using the most recent proxy stanza for ScienceDirect and we have the most recent version of EZProxy.

Has any other institution encountered this problem with off-campus links to ScienceDirect content?

Thanks,
