How funny, this was the publisher I was telling you about on the other list.

Karen,

We had a similar problem earlier this month, where the off campus searching and direct journal links led to an 403 Forbidden error page but on campus access was fine. Turns out our proxy IP address was blocked as a result of suspicious activity from one user.  Our IT department monitors this on our end and removed the user at the time we noticed the activity, but the journal publisher didn’t contact us about the block and didn’t know the IP was for the proxy so no off-campus traffic could go through.  Maybe check activity logs or ask the publisher about IP blocks and see if a similar situation happened?

The first time I tried accessing the Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport remotely, I too, got the error page.
I got around it by clicking on the “go to full site.”
We checked our EZproxy, and it was working fine.

Perhaps this is an issue with the publisher’s site?

Eastern Michigan University is having ongoing problems with remote/off campus access to our subscribed to Human Kinetics journals. Our links take us to an error page, not directly to the journal page. We use ezproxy for authentication and our configuration stanzas are the most recent from OCLC.
Have any other libraries been experiencing this? If so, any resolution?
