Might be an SSL certificate issue? We needed to get a new certificate for our ezproxy server in order to embed FOD into blackboard. What's your embed code look like?

Subject: [Eril-l] Films on Demand embed problem

We've been having longstanding problems embedding Films on Demand content. The FOD website offers several types of embed codes. But the embedded videos do not authenticate correctly via IP address, whether through EZproxy or with a direct URL (from on campus). Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any workaround? We have a lot of profs getting frustrated.
