I second the link to usus.org.uk for databases - more specifically
http://www.usus.org.uk/hints-tips/. My understanding from ER&L 2015 was
that "searches" was an inflated number, and that "result clicks" and
"record views" counted actual full-text downloads. Result Clicks counts
full-text requests from everything, including getting it through the
catalog search engine, while Record Views covers only the requests from the
database itself. The trickiness seems to come in here: "Be aware that these
can reflect the same action by the user."
Thoughts?
