[Eril-l] NEWS: Open Access status for EDP Sciences/SMAIL Mathematics journals in 2026

Dear colleagues

I wanted to share a quick update on the 2026 Subscribe to Open position for the EDP Sciences/SMAI mathematics journals.

The picture is currently a mixed one. Two journals, Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena and ESAIM: Probability and Statistics, have secured enough support to remain fully open access in 2026 under Subscribe to Open.

For the other four journals in the programme, renewal targets have not yet been met, so their open access status for 2026 is still under review. We’ll make a further announcement in the coming weeks on the next steps for these titles.
