**Apologies for cross posting**

As organizations face tighter budgets and changes in stakeholder
expectations, the ability to work effectively across institutions is a
helpful tool in sustaining long-term resilience. While collaboration is
often discussed as an ideal, it is increasingly becoming a practical
necessity.

NISO’s four-week virtual training course, Organizational Resilience Through
Collaboration
<https://www.niso.org/events/organizational-resilience-through-collaboration-2026-niso-training-series>,
will explore collaborative models and provide a tool kit, case studies, and
practical tips for building relationships that strengthen organizations and
support long-term success across the scholarly communication
ecosystem. Register

NISO TRAINING SERIES | DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE FOR MEMBERS AND GROUPS

Organizational Resilience through Collaboration
<https://www.niso.org/events/organizational-resilience-through-collaboration-2026-niso-training-series>

Thursdays, June 4–June 25, 11:00 am–12:30 pm

>From research infrastructure to consortia, collaborative models provide
creative solutions to shared challenges, helping to scale capacity and
reduce risk for all stakeholders. This virtual training course will provide
a practical guide to the pros and cons of cross-stakeholder collaboration
and its importance for organizational resilience.

Participants will learn about the importance of establishing shared goals
and values, ensuring effective communications, getting and maintaining
buy-in from the communities being served, and measuring progress. They will
hear from the leaders behind three successful, community-led
collaborations: Maurice York, Vice President for Library Programs, Big Ten
Academic Alliance, Chris Shillum, Executive Director of ORCID, and Lauren
Kane, CEO, BioOne. These speakers will share key challenges and
opportunities their organizations have faced as well as lessons learned on
their paths to resilience through collaboration. The course is also
interactive, with participants learning through activities and discussion
as well as listening.

Alice Meadows, a founder of MoreBrains Cooperative and now an independent
consultant, is the course facilitator. “I'm very much looking forward to
leading this training series,” said Meadows. “In today's challenging
environment for research and researchers, building organizational
resilience through collaboration is more important than ever. My goal is to
equip attendees with the tools they need to build and maintain successful
collaborations both within and outside their own organizations.”
