I'd love to see what platforms offer an opt out function!

[EXTERNAL]

Hi Katherine!

I don't think we have a rubric at the moment, BUT I currently have a small list of our platforms with AI functionalities, and whether or not they have an "opt out" function. Our subject librarians discuss whether something should be enabled or disabled, and ultimately let us know what their preferences are. They actually hosted an "Open Swim" workshop for Faculty to come & explore some of our resources with AI to give feedback on how their experiences went with it.
I'd love to hear if anyone has an established rubric, and if they'd be willing to share it.

Best,
Erika

Hi all,

I'm curious how folks are handling AI integrations in databases such as EBSCO, JSTOR, etc. How do you evaluate these tools, and how do you decide whether or not to enable them (when that choice exists)? If your library has developed a framework or rubric you'd be willing to share, I'd love to see it!

Thanks!
Katherine
