Hello all.

I wonder if anyone who subscribes to O'Reilly for Higher Education (learning.oreilly.com ...once known as Safari Books Online) and uses EZproxy and SAML with it has regular mentions of users not being able to get past the "Let's Go" screen to an active "Got It" screen ("Your institution provides you with free access to our 50K+ books, 30K+ hours of video, audiobooks, shortcuts, expert playlists, and more.")? Rather they get this greyed-out "Got It" screen...

...with the message, "Error: This email is not associated with an academic account"?

We've tried setting it up to both go through and not go through SAML...

...but some users say they still can't get in even after we suggest clearing their cache and retrying multiple times, trying other major browsers, trying a completely different computer, etc. (...I'm assuming they are actually doing all this and not just saying they are. I miss the days when we were right in front of them and try things out with them).

Any experience with this and what you have found works? An O'Reilly rep suggested another possibility:

"Another option to consider is switching to direct bilateral SAML authentication instead of EZproxy. This would result in your patrons getting new anonymized O'Reilly accounts, and SAML is a very reliable authentication method that has some advantages over EZproxy.  In case you are interested I've attached a copy of our SAML Intake form. Let us know if you are interested and we can get the project on our calendar."

Has anyone done away with using EZproxy altogether with this product?

Any help would be appreciated. Please let me know.
