In addition to many of the vendors Sally listed, we also use Docuseek for both one-off licenses and some major packages (perpetual). They have several films not found on other platforms
By my recollection, Kanopy is the most affordable option for 1-year licenses in most cases. There may be more value in subscribing to a large collection like Films on Demsn AVON from Alexander Street Press, but that would depend on institutional size and general use. I believe there are many specific films on Kanopy not available through such packages

Use caution with links and attachments.
We have the same problem.
In addition to Kanopy, we use Swank, Alexander Street Press, Film Platform<https://www.filmplatform.net/films/>, Films Media Group<https://www.films.com/> , Criterion Pictures<https://www.criterionpicusa.com/> And Projectr<https://projectr.tv/Resources>
We also have one-off purchases from various independent vendors from around the world that we host locally via Kaltura on a password protected site.
Each vendor is different in terms of how long we have access, PPR or no PPR, how to get the marc, how often the title list is updated if we purchase a package, sometimes fixing links that came with the vendor supplied records, etc.
Kind regards,

I am looking for less expensive alternatives to Kanopy. Does anyone have any suggestions that will make faculty happy and we can save on licensing fees etc...
