Part 1 of 2-part webinar series on Project Management

Date: Tuesday, June 4, 2024

All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11 am Pacific, noon
Mountain, 1 pm Central, and 2 pm Eastern time.

Description:

>From new programs and technology initiatives to events and renovations,
library and information professionals can apply the best practices of
project management to plan for and deliver more successful projects.
Attendees will be introduced to the basic principles of project management
and presented with strategies to rally stakeholders, encourage project
momentum, and triumph over common project challenges.

Learning outcomes:

At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

   -

   Identify the phases of a project and common areas of project planning;
   -

   Implement strategies for using scope, schedule, and deliverables to
   improve project outcomes; and
   -

   Utilize techniques for engaging stakeholders and improving project
   communication.

Who should attend?

Librarians and information professionals at all career stages. While
especially applicable for those leading teams, staff, projects, committees,
or other collaborations, all professionals can benefit from learning
techniques to improve collaboration.

Presenters:

Jami Yazdani is a project management consultant known for helping
mission-driven organizations lead more impactful projects, teams, and
planning. Jami began her library career in circulation roles before earning
a library degree and has been a reference librarian, technology librarian,
library manager, and library director. She founded Yazdani Consulting and
Facilitation in 2018. Jami holds a Masters in Library and Information
Science and a Masters in Technology Management and is a certified Project
Management Professional (PMP) and Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM).
