Core Webinar Series: Project Management (2 parts)

Dates: Tuesdays, June 4 - 18, 2024

All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11 am Pacific, noon
Mountain, 1 pm Central, and 2 pm Eastern time.

Description: This is a two-part webinar series on project management
presented by seasoned project management consultant Jami Yazdani. Attendees
will be introduced to basic principles and best practices as well as given
an overview of Agile management and its methodologies.

Part One Title: Project Management Essentials

Date: Tuesday, June 4, 2024

Time: 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. CT

Webinar Description: From new programs and technology initiatives to events
and renovations, library and information professionals can apply the best
practices of project management to plan for and deliver more successful
projects. Attendees will be introduced to the basic principles of project
management and presented with strategies to rally stakeholders, encourage
project momentum, and triumph over common project challenges.

Part Two Title:  More Agile Teams and Collaborations

Date: Tuesday, June 18, 2024

Time: 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. CT

Webinar Description: Can a more agile leadership approach cultivate
motivation and improve your team's and community's collaborations and
outcomes? From "failing fast" and "defining done" to increased transparency
and earlier stakeholder feedback, agile project management strategies can
help us build trust, encourage growth, and create more collaborative and
effective teams and community relationships. Attendees will learn the
differences between agile and more traditional project management
approaches and be introduced to popular agile methods, including Kanban
boards and sprints.

Presenter:

Jami Yazdani is a project management consultant known for helping
mission-driven organizations lead more impactful projects, teams, and
planning. Jami began her library career in circulation roles before earning
a library degree and has been a reference librarian, technology librarian,
library manager, and library director. She founded Yazdani Consulting and
Facilitation in 2018. Jami holds a Masters in Library and Information
Science and a Masters in Technology Management and is a certified Project
Management Professional (PMP) and Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM).
