Hi Denis,

For a while, the library admin office paid for data from verizon for an ipad, so I could mimic off campus to test access. We've had a lot of changes and we no longer have that. It worked pretty well with the caveat that I was testing on a mobile device. Now, I take my phone off the wifi and test on my phone for "off campus" and after work, when I go home I test on a laptop off campus.

Subject: [Eril-l] Testing Access to E-resources from "off-campus"

Hi all,

We are looking for a solution to mimic being off-campus to test our electronic resources. I currently do this by using a VPN that I pay for myself, which is not ideal. How do other folks do this? Do you use a VPN? If so, is there a specific VPN vendor you’d recommend?

Thanks!
Denis
