The University of Kansas Medical Center, A.R. Dykes Library, is seeking a Systems Librarian. The Systems Librarian is responsible for administrating web-based technologies and maintaining the systems necessary to support the A.R. Dykes Library. This position optimizes third-party library applications and serves as the CMS editor for the library website and library SharePoint site.
The responsibilities include support, maintenance, and implementation of the library's broad range of systems such as discovery tools, vendor hosted EZProxy server, link-out applications, and chat service. This individual is the primary technology liaison and works closely with other application managers and systems administrators at KUMC, KU- Lawrence libraries, and KUMC campus IT.
Additionally, the systems librarian provides information to the KUMC community for data literacy and data management awareness for KUMC researchers.
This position works closely with library staff to help troubleshoot and resolve technology and access issues. A successful candidate will exhibit commitment to professional growth and skill advancement. At A.R. Dykes Library we have an expectation that employees practice civility with colleagues and users.
