[Eril-l] New Oxford English Dictionary site now live ~4890383

[Electronic Resources in Libraries discussion list]

Interesting.  Cornell uses OCLC to host our ez proxy.  We found that the first time accessing OED, all works fine.  It's the second time and afterwards that the paywall comes onto the scene.  And there is no proxy.cornell.edu in the URL.

For those with access working smoothly, how is your ez proxy managed?  Locally?  OCLC?  Something else?  Have you tried accessing OED multiple times in succession?

I've tested on 3 browsers on campus on my PC and 3 browsers at home on my Mac.  We've been fine since the new stanza was released.

Yes,

I am testing at home, with Chrome and Edge, and everything is working fine for me. I can bounce to all tabs, and everything is fine.  Using new stanza. No paywalls.

Self-hosted proxy.

Hello,
Sadly I am seeing and hearing from others the same as Sally from Cornell.
Testing myself, from home/off-campus, now, this evening, all I have to do is click over to Meaning & use, and already I am prompted to login or subscribe, and also see paywall in the URL, rather than our proxy info etc. like I would expect, having authenticated to get to the OED in the first place from our Database A-Z list.
And I replaced the config stanza this morning with the most recent one at OCLC, making sure to place it above all other Oxford stanzas etc.

Is anyone seeing that it is fixed for their institution?
