The University of Alabama Libraries seeks a collaborative, dynamic librarian to fill the position of Electronic Resources Librarian. Reporting to the Coordinator of Acquisitions and Electronic Resources, the Electronic Resources Librarian ensures optimal and accurate access to subscription resources, including databases, electronic journals, and e-books. The Electronic Resources Librarian supports the development of new methods of subscription and resource acquisition and strives to increase available resources for The University of Alabama community. As a tenure-track faculty librarian in the Resource Acquisition & Discovery unit, this position contributes to the overall management of the area, helping to ensure completion of goals in an efficient manner in support of university and library strategic goals. The successful candidate must have willingness for continual learning, development, and application of additional expertise through work related experiences and professional development opportunities. They must possess the ability to deal with change, ambiguity, and complex problems in an academic setting.

SALARY/BENEFITS: 12-month tenure track faculty appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. Salary range is $60,000.00 to $80,000.00, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and advanced degrees. Strong benefits including professional development support and tuition fee waiver.
