The Electronic Resources Librarian provides management and assessment
of library resources in order to continuously improve library
collections and systems in support of the University’s priorities and
mission.

Serves as a member of a team responsible for providing collection
support and the organization and discoverability of library resources.



Essential responsibilities include:

ACQUISITION: Manages acquisition of electronic library resources, including
trials, licenses, renewals and cancellation using appropriate systems and
software.

EVALUATION: Supports the strategic collection development of library
content through the collection and analysis of usage statistics and other
collection data; this may include working with COUNTER, vendor data,
internal systems and Google Analytics. Establishes data collection policies
and procedures.

E-RESOURCE MAINTENANCE:  Creates, maintains and updates records in the
Electronic Resource Management system and other platforms; and monitors
renewals for electronic resources. Reviews and manages licenses in
conjunction with Risk Management and other campus entities.

SYSTEMS: Administers and maintains the Integrated Library System (ILS),
Innovative’s Sierra. In conjunction with the Head of Resource Management
performs global updates and system changes to the ILS. Maintains and
upgrades ILLiad software in conjunction with Information Technology
Services (ITS). Serves as back-up for the maintenance and development of
the library’s website.
