Overview

The E-Resources Access Librarian is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and troubleshooting access to Auraria Library’s licensed and open access electronic resources. This position works closely with colleagues in the Technical Services Division and across the Library to ensure reliable access to and discovery of e-resources across various platforms and access points. The person in this position is committed to staying informed about trends and best practices related to discovery and access and is comfortable with the continuously changing landscape of electronic resources. With over 80% of the Library’s $3.6M learning materials budget dedicated to electronic resources and the majority of Auraria Library’s users accessing e-resources from off campus, this position plays a vital role in the research and learning of Auraria campus’s students, faculty, and staff.

Faculty members on the Instructor track have a workload distribution of 90% librarianship and 10% service. As a faculty member, this position participates on Library and campus-wide committees and in CU Denver faculty governance. The E-Resources Access Librarian engages in fulfilling the research and educational missions of the Auraria Library and the three institutions on the Auraria Campus – the University of Colorado Denver, the Metropolitan State University of Denver, and the Community College of Denver. This position is in the Technical Services Division of the Library and reports to the Discovery and Metadata, Department Head. The successful candidate will engage in professional development, such as (but not limited to) conference attendance, webinars, and courses/continuing education as appropriate.  Auraria Library provides faculty members with financial support and time to engage in meaningful professional development.


Located in downtown Denver, Colorado, the Auraria Campus is home to three institutions of higher education – University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver – both MSU and CCD are Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI), and CU Denver is finalizing its HSI and Asian American Native American Pacific Islander (AANAPISI) designations. The Auraria Library serves the campus’ over 35,000 students, the majority of whom are from the first-generation in their family to enroll in higher education. Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $60,000 to $65,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
