Sam Houston State University (SHSU) Newton Gresham Library (NGL) seeks an
organized, self-motivated, and collaborative individual to assume the
responsibilities
for the management and discoverability of electronic resources (with a
focus on databases and platforms) through their life cycle. Areas of
responsibility include resource acquisition, license review, access
management and troubleshooting, records maintenance, product trials, usage
data collection and organization, ERMS and authentication software
management.

SHSU’s mission is to provide high quality education, scholarship, and
service to students. Located in East Texas, approximately an hour’s drive
north of Houston, Huntsville provides residents with a sense of community
and belonging with metropolitan amenities only a short distance away.

Requirements:

   -

   A degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited master’s
   program is required (must be awarded by May 2022).

Preferred:

   -

   Experience working with managing the lifecycle of electronic resources
   at an academic library.
   -

   2 or more years of experience working at an academic Library
   -

   Experience with administering systems/software related to library electronic
   resources management
   -

   Experience with library electronic resources license negotiation and
   management.
   -

   Experience with electronic resources usage statistics harvesting and
   organization.


   -

   Working knowledge of usage statistics standards such as COUNTER, and
   interpretation of non-COUNTER statistics.
   -

   Supervisory experience
