[Eril-l] Inconsistencies in COUNTER reports over time

Has anyone noticed inconsistencies in the usage data from their COUNTER 5
reports? I'm finding (for multiple major platforms) that if I re-download
the same report that I saved already from earlier in the year, the numbers
are often lower in the more recent download.

It would be nice to know the reason this is happening. Did some usage
disappear when titles were removed from the platform? Have the vendors made
changes to their reporting?

If you've encountered this problem as well, which usage totals do you use
-- the earlier reports, or the more recent reports?

Thanks for any insight that you can provide.
