The University of Northern British Columbia is seeking candidates to fill three positions:

Access Services Librarian
Reporting to the University Librarian, and working collaboratively with Librarians and library staff, technical services, the Northern BC Archives, and UNBC communities, the Access Services Librarian joins a small team of dedicated librarians in enhancing research and learning at UNBC. This position will provide leadership and direction for Access Services, and will bring expertise including Interlibrary Loan (ILL) circulation, first-contact client services, web services, and space (both physical and virtual, including concepts of universal design).  All librarians provide reference and instruction and liaise with academic programs, providing specialized research project support to students and faculty.  Librarians at UNBC contribute to the body of research in their field and are encouraged to participate actively in appropriate associations, user groups and professional bodies.

Metadata Librarian
Reporting to the University Librarian and working collaboratively with Technical Services and Archives, the Metadata Librarian joins a small team of dedicated librarians in enhancing research and learning at UNBC. This position will bring expertise in library classification and description and will take the lead in implementing recent advances in metadata and cataloguing such as RDA, FRBR-LRM, BIBFRAME and linked data. The Metadata Librarian provides expertise in the development, implementation and assessment of metadata policies and procedures while monitoring external developments and changing needs in these areas. This position will holistically consider metadata across UNBC's collections, including MARC and non-MARC metadata. All librarians provide reference and instruction and liaise with academic programs. Librarians at UNBC contribute to the body of research in their field and are encouraged to actively participate in appropriate associations, user groups and standard bodies.

University Librarian
UNBC is seeking a candidate for the position of University Librarian who demonstrates leadership, mentorship and community-building experience.   The ideal candidate will be an accomplished and experienced Librarian with complementary knowledge of archives, who recognizes the importance of their staff to enable effective response to emerging needs. The University Librarian will bring outstanding skills relating to leadership, communications, and collaboration.
