Minimum Qualifications
-
An ALA-accredited degree or equivalent
-
Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript and functional
knowledge of at least one other programming language (PHP preferred)
-
Demonstrated knowledge of content management systems (Drupal preferred)
-
Experience with training related to web technologies, software, tools,
and solutions
-
Experience with or knowledge of web accessibility guidelines and
implementation
-
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
-
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-
Articulate policies and procedures, maintain, and develop the Library's
web presence
-
Develop the library’s mobile web presence.

Maintain and develop the library’s intranet
-
Work with stakeholders (faculty, admin, staff, students) to
design/redesign/assess library’s web presence
-
Conduct/coordinate usability studies of website
-
Maintain awareness of emerging trends in web design
-
Chair Web Working Group and work with content managers to maintain web
content
-
Work with Communication Committee to coordinate social media presence
-
Represent the library and work with campus IT counterparts
-
Serve as an expert in web technologies for library staff/faculty
-
Participate in a robust library instruction program
-
Meet library faculty guidelines for promotion and tenure, including
requirements for scholarship and service to the library, the university,
and the profession.
