This may not be the most sustainable thing but I made lists of what we have under lease in Kanopy.

Since the PDA invoice download does not include links, a lot of Excel and Python skullduggery was employed to get links and make HTML table code for LibGuides. At least moving forward, I only have to take out the oldest stuff and add the new month's titles.

Hi all,

So we have finally hit the Kanopy crunch, having seen the overall cost start small in the first year and roughly double in size in the next two years. Which is obviously unsustainable. We have the flat annual subscription to Films on Demand which is now half the cost of Kanopy. (though to be honest it's about the same Cost Per Use on views, meaning Kanopy is now used twice as much; but on the other hand, people are using titles on Kanopy that are also on FoD). Kanopy looks nice, it's easy to use, people love using it; however, we cannot stand by and watch it double every year in cost.

If anybody wants to look at the strategy that's been gelling over here, email me off list and I will send it to you. But basically we've got a lot of things we're going to try before we hit the mediated switch.
