[Eril-l] Job Opening: Library Services Specialist

Ruth R. Cleveland Memorial Library at Cleveland University - Kansas City has an immediate opening for a Library Services Specialist who will provide user services to library patrons and is responsible for all interlibrary loan borrowing and lending and document delivery functions. The Library Services Specialist assists patrons in the use of library resources and performs circulation and reference tasks as needed. This position also provides library coverage, manning the service desk and opening and/or closing the library as needed.




MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree from accredited university

Previous library experience

Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage time-sensitive tasks

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work a flexible schedule between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm and share responsibility for opening and closing the library

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products and routine office equipment

Strong data entry skills and demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology and information systems

Ability to lift 10 pounds



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years library experience in an academic or health science library

Interlibrary Loan experience, using OCLC Worldshare and Docline

Knowledge of automated library systems and research databases
