Collection Development Librarian (Assistant Professor)

Murphy Library at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse seeks an innovative and collaborative librarian to lead the development, assessment, and maintenance of Murphy Library’s collections in order to strategically support the diverse teaching, research, and learning needs of the UWL community. The Collection Development Librarian oversees the collections budget to ensure comprehensive and relevant collections and collaborates with UWL librarians and faculty and other collection development librarians across the UW System in collection building efforts. This position also assists in reference services and information literacy instruction. This is a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position in an environment that supports and encourages librarianship, scholarship, and service.


Salary and Rank: Competitive salary for a full-time, 9-month tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Partial summer contracts may also be available.



Earliest Starting Date: November 1, 2019.
