[Eril-l] MLA International Bibliography title comparisons

We are about to initiate a trial of the MLA Full-Text now offered by Ebsco. They provided us with an overlap analysis of the unique titles versus what we have access to in other Ebsco db subscriptions. Ebsco has web pages with lists for both MLAIB and MLA with Full-Text. I know the full-text list, in particular, provides the coverage dates.

I was informed you can ask your Ebsco rep for a comparison of MLA with Full-Text against Academic Search Elite/Premier/Complete/Ultimate, and against any other database vendor.

I hope this information helps a little bit more…… It’s a complicated business.

Thanks, but this is a very poor list, just title and one ISSN (presumably print). No years of coverage, no indicator of which titles are core/full versus selectively indexed. It's better than nothing, but not really good for doing proper overlap comparison.  This is at least an improvement compared to the last time I looked, when there were no issns, and just a pdf list of titles.

If you can actually get a "clean" list of what's indexed in MLA, e.g. with reliable ISSNs and starting/ending coverage dates, I would very much like to have a copy. Years ago I wanted to do what you're asking for, but was stymied by the lack of a usable title list for MLA, and the journal titles themselves are far too variable in formatting/abbreviation/subtitles/etc to be usable for doing systematic overlap comparisons.
