We also saw significant increases. We quickly ran over our budgeted amount, prompting us to contact Kanopy and ask them to put our subscription on hold till the new fiscal year. I had them limit the collections we have access to. I looked at our degree programs and tried to match them with collections, turning off anything that was not directly related. I realized this might mean not finding some titles, but our finances dictated tough decisions. I really like Kanopy, and so do our faculty and students, but I think they will need to revisit their parameters and triggers so that we do not always need to "stop the service" till we get more money. That makes for frustrated customers. I am hoping we (Kanopy and our Library) can come up with something that works better next year.

Subject: [Eril-l] Kanopy Streaming Videos - PDA program
Good Morning,
Since the beginning of the year our library has seen a significant increase in invoice totals for our subscription to Kanopy's PDA subscription. We are now being invoiced monthly, instead of quarterly (which it looks like were in 2017) and our totals for the monthly invoices are equaling the quarterly ones from last year. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed anything similar?
If so, has anyone made changes to their approaches in making these accessible? We currently have all subject categories available for our users to access - has anyone begun turning any of these off? If you have, how are you selecting which subjects are hidden and which you are leaving "on"?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help. :)
