I don't think you have to use EBSCO's KB to use their statistics tool. We aren't using their knowledgebase (we use Summon/360 Link and that knowledgebase). I know there are some integrations if you do use it, but you don't have to.

It's my understanding that using EBSCO as your subscription agent for journals will make a big difference (in terms of being able to import prices), and we do use that.

We have been using the "next generation" product for 360 COUNTER, Intota Assessment.  Similar to Amy's experience at BGSU, it is not working for us.  We've given it several years to develop, but the quirks continue and the list of things we have to follow and fix manually has gotten out of hand in terms of personnel time devoted to problems.

Often, we don't know that stats are wrong until we look up individual title stats or delve into package stats on a title by title basis and happen to notice that something just looks wonky.   A recent example is a title whose stats were alternately zero one month and several hundred the next month.  From month to month.  In the same year.   

Perhaps there are scenarios where Intota Assessment works just fine.  Maybe an institution with smaller collection sizes?  I imagine Clemson's collection size/breadth is similar to BGSU (both research institutions with similar FTE).  

We used EBSCO's product when it first came out.  Unfortunately, that meant managing two knowledgebases (we are a traditional Serials Solutions-now-Intota library and did not wish to move to EBSCO EDS, OpenURL, etc.).  

We are looking at other options and will watch these responses closely.

We just purchased EBSCO's product. We liked RedLink a lot but their product didn't currently offer the right view of the stats for the decisions we need to make this semester. They are still developing it and are very responsive to suggestions, it just couldn't work on our timeline. We have tried to use 360 COUNTER and never got it to work for us. Springshare's product likewise didn't output the data we needed. We are in the process of implementing the EBSCO product.

We're in the exact same situation at UNCW. At my previous library we used 360 Counter from Serials Solutions, and then LibInsight from Springshare.

Hi everyone a very healthy and happy 2018!  Need to see how some of you gather usage statistics for databases.  We are looking into Red Link. EBSCO has their usage consolidation tool.  I believe OCLC also has a tool.  For years I've been doing this manually exporting usage stats to an Excel spreadsheet.  More interested in number of searches and downloads.
