[Eril-l] Price increases on American Journal of Physics and Physics Teacher

We received notification from our serials vendor that AIP was changing its approach to backfile access: they will have a "front list" subscription with content back to 1999, and a "front list + archive" subscription that allows access to the full run. They are charging a premium for the full run subscription, and are defaulting renewals to that rate. If you drop back to the "front list only" option the price is a little more palatable.
(Why the hell they think we want to pay a premium for 20+ year old physics articles is beyond me, but whatever.)

Subject: [Eril-l] Price increases on American Journal of Physics and Physics Teacher
Continuing in my practice of being a gadfly -- did anyone notice that American Journal of Physics and Physics Teacher are going way up in price for 2019? It's probably dependent on institution size; at my small liberal arts institution, it's 24% and 32% respectively. I just sent the head of AIP publishing an email. I don't know if that was the right person though, we'll see if I hear back. Feel free to complain at them as well.
