Job Summary

Provides leadership in managing the life cycle of electronic resources. Work collaboratively with the Content Delivery Librarian in supporting liaison librarians for outreach and scholarship. The incumbent is also responsible for license negotiation and maintaining positive and beneficial professional relationships with vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Create and maintain accurate records. Practice sound internal control of University property including financial and purchasing activities. Provide excellent communications and customer service to the University and external communities. Assist users in discovering and accessing library resources. Safeguard legal and ethical use of library resources. Analyze and organize information and technology resources in order to meet users’ needs. Initiate proactive problem solving and advocate for solutions that promote transformative learning experiences. Contribute to University and library planning and the establishment of policies and procedures; keep abreast of and follow pertinent policies. Act as a project manager for library initiatives that includes establishing routines, priorities, and workflow, verifying work, and coordinating other staff, as assigned. Encourage and support colleagues, students, and faculty by engaging in intra- and inter-departmental events, programs, and initiatives. Report equipment, security, and repair needs in the library through efficient and effective communication to appropriate parties. Conduct and report on project based research and assessment for administrative, instructional, and informational purposes. Performs other duties assigned.

Required Qualifications


Master’s degree in library and/or information science from an ALA-accredited program or a related graduate degree. Demonstrated organizational, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and planning skills. Computer literate and technologically adept. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel. Proficiency in Windows Operating System and file management.

Preferred Qualifications


Professional experience in knowledge management involving electronic resource. Knowledge and ability for license review and negotiation. Knowledge of the new scholarly communication climate and initiatives. Staff supervisory experience. Experience working with Voyager Acquisition module and ProQuest ERM system. Experience creating statistical reports and managing usage data.
