[Eril-l] Methods of Gathering Statistics

I use the Google Sheet add-on for Google Analytics to get specific Google
Analytic data (keywords, number of searches, browser type) added to a
Google spreadsheet. I can then create charts or tables that display the
data in certain ways and add that to a Google Site. This page
<https://developers.google.com/analytics/solutions/google-analytics-spreadsheet-add-on>explains
how to set up that process. I have analytics for a few different sites so
this lets me combine them.

If you use Google Forms then it's also pretty easy to set up tables and
charts that reflect the inputs in Google Sheets and add those to one Google
Site.

Although I like the simplicity (and cost) of using Google, I find Tableau a
far better service to help analyze things like reference data, and have
seem some amazing dashboards created using that system. They have a free
version so you can try it out.

I am also very interested in what others are doing! I kinda scraped my
system together so I could monitor our discovery service in a very basic
way, but I know there's a lot more potential out there.
