The University of Guelph's McLaughlin Library invites applications for a Metadata Librarian, one (1) year contractually limited appointment with the possibility of renewal. Working collaboratively in a team-based environment and reporting to the Manager of Electronic Resources, Information Resources, the Metadata Librarian participates in developing, implementing and evaluating metadata strategies, policies and procedures. The Librarian plays a critical role in contributing to the library's overall discovery & metadata strategies through resource discovery and metadata management and coordination of projects to support emerging library needs. The Metadata Librarian supports the overall works and goals of the Information Resources Team by contributing to strategic objectives, representing the library's interests with consortia and vendor partners, taking on a project leadership role and/or participation on committees.
