[Eril-l] Donation of a PDF document

This question was floated to me & I was asked to put it out there to see if any other libraries accept PDF documents as donations.

Is there a way to add a “mark” or note to a purchased PDF file of an electronic publication to indicate that it was a donation (similar to a “book plate”)?

I'm wondering if anyone has input. Other than a watermark, and depending on publisher restrictions, any other ideas?
