We’ve had the same experience here. Can anyone offer me a contact name, the one I have is for a technical person and he hasn’t returned my call.

Thanks,

Diana

They did the same to us as well. I refused to pay the increase and instead (much as it pains me) reverted to username/password access to the database. It’s only used by a small group of OT students on our campus so we notify those students to contact the Library for the login credentials.

They did the same to us, but our increase was "only" 70%.

It does seems to be an odd way to price things, and they told me that "We will be tracking usage statistics more carefully over the coming year and we may readjust some subscribers to lower (or higher) tiers as necessary for their next period based on trends we see during 2016"

Hello everyone,

At Eastern Kentucky University Libraries, we currently subscribe to “OT Search,” a small abstracting and indexing database used primarily by our Occupational Therapy students, and have just found out that they have changed their pricing structure. Basically, they added up our IP range, determined that we have over 65,000 IP addresses, and based on this are charging us 2 times as much as our original subscription price.

Our current FTE is roughly 13,000.

Is there anyone else subscribing to OT Search that had a similar experience?

Thank you,
~Laura Edwards
